PURPOSE: National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes outstanding students in the fields of character, leadership, and service. In order to qualify, students must be either a junior or senior and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. After students meet the above requirements, they must provide the selection committee with four character references, three examples of leadership skills, and evidence of community service. The selection committee then must approve each individual student.
