1998 and 2002
As required by the Nebraska Department of Education Rule 10, the Laurel-Concord School is required to conduct and report a follow-up of its graduates every one and five years. This year surveys were sent to the Class of 1998 and the Class of 2002. The following paragraphs summarize the results from those who responded.
Currently for the Class of 1998, 9 are enrolled in four year college programs and 4 are attending a two year institution. When asked to speak to the issue of how their high school experience helped to prepare them for their next step or any changes they would suggest, they had the following responses:
Five Year Graduates of 1998
Most helpful classes were: Math, Science, English, Business, History, and Vocational Classes.
Students felt they needed more work in: Grammar, Spelling, Punctuation.
Students would have liked to have had additional classes in: Business, English and PE .
One Year Graduates of 2002
Most helpful classes were: Science, History, Business, Fine Arts, and English.
Students felt least prepared in: Spelling, Punctutation, Expressing Self, and Grammar.
Students would have liked to have had additional classes in: College Prep Classes, English, Computer Science, College Credit Classes.

or any changes they would suggest, they had the following responses:
Five Year Graduates of 1995
Most helpful classes were: Math, English, Science, Business, Trades
and Industry.
Students felt least prepared in: Knowledge of World & Literature,
Grammar, Spelling and Puncuation.
Students would have liked to have had additional classes in: Bio
Chemistry, College Credit Courses, Plant Science, FFA, and Ag, Psychology
and Computer Classes.
One Year Graduates of 1999
Most helpful classes were: English, Math, Science, Fine Arts, Business,
Trades and Industry.
Students felt least prepared in: Spelling, Punctuation, Research,
and Knowledge of World Literature, Expressing Themselves
Students would have liked to have had additional classes in: Psychology,
Botany, More Music, Programming, Ag. Practice, More Grammar and
Creative Writing.
