Steering Committee Minutes Dr. Hoesing reported that the administration had met last week, and the next steps for April include scheduling our External Team Visitation. Dr. Hoesing and Diane Baker are working with Karen Knudsen to update school information on the web page. Steering Committee members shared the progress of their book groups in reading and discussing the book, "walk awhile in my shoes". Members reported that the teachers have liked the small group idea for discussing the book and have seen it as a positive way to discuss things. The administration reported that Todd Whitaker will be in South Sioux City during pre-service days in the fall. His book, "What Great Teachers Do Differently" is available for all teachers to read. Each book group can decide how and when to read/discuss it prior to school starting in the fall. The Steering Committee decided that it would be good for our staff to attend the Whitaker presentation in South Sioux City, and made that recommendation to the administration.
