Steering Committee Minutes The Steering Committee met to review the NCAA School Improvement process. The benefits of the NCAA process were discussed. Changes which have been made in the School Improvement Plan on our website were shared with the committee. The Action Plan format will be changed by the sub-committees to align with the NCAA process. In addition, while there would be one K-12 plan, external visitations would be needed at the elementary, middle, and high school levels to be “School Certified”. Suggestions about how to disaggregate the data which has been collected were discussed, and the possibility of having a data retreat was raised. A survey based on seven standards which were shared with the Steering Committee will be completed prior to our external visitation(s), which should tentatively occur prior to December, 2008. Training opportunities and who will attend them were discussed. Mr. Owen, Mrs. Baker, and Dr. Hoesing will go to one on February 13 and 14, 2008. Respectfully submitted, Sharon Boeckenhauer, recorder
