All computer hardware comes with a modem for connection into the school's
server. It has warranty and service for the duration of the contract.
It also comes with tech. support, education, and a computer library
for your use. Below are a few specifics of the program.

All computers come equiped with a Keyboard, Mouse and Modem
On-line Connection
The school will provide access to our server. This access will be provided
under the internet agreement and is intended for educational use. The
school will provide you with a password for your account. This password
will allow you to access e-mail, internet services, school information,
library information, etc...
Computer Software
The school will provide a standard package of software for your computer.
We will also make a library of computer programs available for your
use.
Support and Maintenance
The school district will provide tech. support and maintenance on your
computer. The school will also provide free maintenance and repair work
at the school. If you want repair work or maintenance done in your home,
this will be done at an additional charge.
Any damage resulting from intentional misuse or abuse of the computer
is the responsibility of the lessee.
Computer Accessories
Because of the scope of the project, each family involved in this program
is responsible for the purchase of any other computer accessories. Additional
hard drives, printers, etc... are the responsibility of each family.
The school will provide assistance or recommendations upon request.
Contract Duration
The contracts will be secured during the month of September each year.
The contracts will run for one full year (12 months). The contract will
automatically renew at the end of the lease period unless you notify
the school at least 30 days before the contract expires of your intention
to terminate the contract. Hardware upgrades will be provided on a first
come first serve basis.
Computer Purchase
The school will allow any individual to apply credit of payments toward
the purchase of the computer. If an individual wishes to purchase the
computer, the sale price will be 125% of the 5 year lease payments,
less their contribution. Upon sale of the computer, all school software
must be returned to the school district to the extent required by the
software licencse governing the use of that software.
Contract
Default
The first and last months payments are due upon receipt of the computer.
The following regular monthly payments are due the 1st day of the month.
Use the coupon booklet for monthly payments. Make checks payable to
ESU 1 Computer Lease Program. Send payments to Laurel-Concord
Public School, P.O. Box 8, Laurel, NE 68745. Any payments more than
30 days delinquent will result in termination of the contract and repossession
of the leased equipment. All equipment must be returned in reasonable
working condition or a repair charge will be assessed.
