Nebraskans for Peace Scholarship. 3 - 500.00 scholarships (1 in each congressional district) and 2 -100.00 scholarships to 2 seniors in each of the three congressional districts. Omaha Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) is offering several 1000.00 scholarships to help further the college education of people who are entering computer related fields. NMC Diesel Technology Sponsorship and Caterillar Scholarship Programs for those who attend Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska and earn a degree in diesel technology. Harold Martindale Scholarship for a student enrolled @ NECC in the Utility Lineman program. Amount is $2000.00 or $1000.00 per year. Must have GPA of 2.0 or higher and be a dependent of a residential customer of the Cedar Knox District including the villages and towns that the District serves at retail. Citizens National Bank in cooperation with NECC has developed an incentive package to recruit students into its bank. Under conditions of employment with Citizens National Bank, students can apply for a forgivable loan to help pay the tuition for the Rural Agribanking program at NECC. Once the program is completed, students will be offered employment by Citizens National and must complete a two year employment. in order to have their student loan forgiven in entirety. A portion is forgiven after each month of employment. Students interested in this scholarship should contact Steven Ausdemore, President, at 402-529-3291. Davis Chambers/McIntosh Minority Scholarship application for the 2008-09 academic year and is due in our office by APRIL 7, 2008. The qualifications for this scholarship are:
For African American, American Indian, or Hispanic students
Must show financial need - MUST complete a 2008-09 FAFSA

Wayne County Farm Bureau Scholarship - 500.00 to a graduating high school senior from Northeast NE who will be pursuing a post secondary education in the field of agriculture or agri-business. Candidate must be a child or grandchild of a Wayne County Farm Bureau member. Application in career center and guidance office and must be returned by April 14, 2008.

Dixon County Farm Bureau Member Scholarship for graduating seniors from a Dixon County Farm Bureau family. 500.00 to a graduating senior who plans to enroll in a college preferably pursuing an agriculturally related field. As an integral part of the total education program, guidance and counseling services are concerned with the study, understanding, and adjustment of every student attending Laurel-Concord High School. The services are designed to assist students in developing their individual potentials and to assist school personnel, parents, and community in providing opportunities to students to obtain an education best suited to their potential and goals. We accept the fact that each student is an individual with individual goals. It is the task of the Guidance Program to help each student fulfill his/her own potential for growth.Parents, teachers, administrators, the guidance counselor, and other school and community personnel have roles in the guidance program. All of these persons, who in various ways are concerned with students, help students meet their special needs, explore or pursue selected goals, maintain good emotional health, and develop an appropriate set of values.

Guidance is a process of aiding total growth and focuses on student development educationally and occupationally.
